blk.- the new water.

My aunt brought the mint water to the beach which got my mom started which got me started. I need to grow some mint.

Earlier I said I was going to Wegman's to buy blk water. I totally did after Mike read up on it then I looked into pH balances of the body a little more. Some info on alkaline and pH
The blk water says it has a high pH of +9.0 which apparently is amazing.
The typical American diet is mostly acidic. The acidic foods include meat, dairy, grains, coffee, sodas, and artificial sweeteners.
Alkaline foods are most fruits, green veggies, lentils, spices, and herbs.
I got all this info from the website which has even more info.
Pretty nutty...

Fyi, the bottle is clear plastic.

Anyway, I taught class this morning...

and afterwards Papa left to be a rock star as Ami and I hung out at the house.  We were both kind of tired. I got to take a teeny nap which I greatly appreciated.
Then we went to Target to get more diapers and wipes as well as a birthday present for Lilly, a little lady who is turning 3.

I found a microphone and a harmonica, I thought she might enjoy (now that I think about it... her parents, too... oops).  The microphone was from B. and is pretty spiffy. Ami enjoyed it until we found a Dora microphone. Dude.  It plays songs from Dora and she was smitten. I had to get that, too.

We were rocking out to the B52s on our way to Target but on our way back, we rocked out to Ami singing Dora. I am not complaining. It was so cute.

The microphone is not in this picture and I'm surprised.

We went home and while I made some lemon and potato soup w kale, we ate some cherries.

Lemon Kale Potato soup... It's tasty.

For dessert we had strawberries and some Galia melon and Juan Canary  melon.

After we ate, Ami took a bath, I painted her nails as she sat on the potty. She picked out pink and sparkly. They are pretty awesome.
Ami fell asleep quickly after her bath and Elmo stories.  Oh!!!  I almost forgot, Ami kissed my belly which was so super sweet. I asked her if she kissed Ollie and she said yes.  Oh my goodness. I love my family.
I wish I wasn't sleeping without my my favorite person these next few nights -sigh-.

I just found this in my drop box.  Thank you, Mike! I wish Bart's wiener was showing.

Thursday's Monster is Full of Face.

Ami's helping me fold laundry and decorate my Love Monster templates...

And this is Ami's new jungle gym....

Here is some artwork my I.D.s did today.  We worked on mixing primary colors and only using primary colors. It was lots of fun.  One of the ladies said it was weird only using 3 colors. I said, it gives me a sense of power knowing I can make all kinds of colors using only 3 colors. Do you feel like that too?  She said yes.

Then I met up with Papa and the Monkey.  I brought a Wawa lunch.

That evening, we went out with Craig, Lauren, Alix, Moo, Billy, Gabby, and Larry to Fujiya. I was really excited to see Ami's reaction.

This is the remnants of Ami's umbrella she got with her milk.

Green Tea Ice Cream!!!  Ami devoured it.

The Outside is for the Birds.

Yesterday we stayed inside because the heat index was through the roof.
Today is no different.

We had cereal for breakfast.  Ami had her Strawberry Fields and I had my U.
We patiently waited for Papa to wake up to go to the library.

While we waited, we put together her play huts.  She wanted a steering wheel for her car so I improvised with the ship wheel.  It was ok for a couple of seconds...

Eating lunch. Oatmeal w dried fruit.  Ami is a bottomless pit today.

We hung out at the pet store.

These fish were awesome!  They are Dinosar Bichir.

These were awesome, too!!! They were Black Ghost Knife.  Unfortunately, both species were not for beginners :(

We ate an early dinner of steamed veggies w Goddess dressing, the last of the strawberries and whole wheat linguine and spaghetti sauce.

As a treat, we ate in Ami's room...

While she has been artsy fartsying around, Ami has been talking to this unicorn, lifting it up to the easel and asking it if her drawings are cool.

I also just got a call that my marching band design is going to be turned into a flag, So that's kind of nice to hear.

My guitar lesson moved to Friday, so I think Ami and I are going to maybe make some cookies, take a bubble bath and chill out for the rest of the evening.

When Papa gets home, he's going to draw on my belly for a 26 week progression shot. I'm pretty excited...

Art Classes are the Best Classes.

I taught my first art class with the I.D.s yesterday.
I brought a color wheel and talked about color.
Their activity was to paint (well, technically draw because they were using water colors) from their imagination or   from anywhere one picture using warm colors and one picture using cool colors.

I have 9 students who are all pretty high functioning and pretty mobile.
Most of them understood the activity which was awesome.
Next week we'll probably use acrylics and mix some colors.

Maybe they can make their own color wheels... maybe that's too advanced.

After the class, I went to Target. I thought that maybe stupid drivers/ppl only existed in my neighborhood but that's not the case. They exist in the town ten miles north of us, too.

I'm thinking I want to have my camera ready every time I enter/exit our neighborhood specifically to start a blog, introducing our dumb ass neighbors. Maybe I'll just post them all on here. I'm hoping this will reduce our stress level.

I met up with Papa and Ami at the library and watched Papa start his chalk drawing.
I had milk in the car so Ami and I had to leave shortly after he started. It was poor timing on my part.

 The floor...

I did get Ami/Ollie organizing done in their room which is a spectacular feat. I need to pick up some more bins but otherwise, we're good.

I think Ollie's baby shower should just be a party w no presents, just celebrating her upcoming birth... otherwise I have no place for anything!  Generally, we've been trying to get rid of items as we receive them, but it's so hard.  It was easy getting rid of old clothes of Ami's that we really won't need for Ollie, like summery 0-3s. Ami isn't her clothes, she far exceeds their cuteness- also I've been watching the new Hoarders episodes on Netflix.

Play dough...
An evening stroll to the playground with Papa...
