Pirate Nightmares Suck.

Early this morning, I woke up today from a nightmare- it involved ravaging pirates, an emaciated captured woman, and bombs- all in my apartment.

I woke up with "Masters of War" stuck in my head and it all was so heavy I couldn't go back to sleep.

I turned on some "Frasier" then went to get something to eat and noticed I was cold. I remembered Ami didn't want a blanket last night so I checked on her. She seemed slightly chilly, I put a light blanket on her but she woke up.

I snuggled with her.

She wasn't going back to sleep so I told her I had a nightmare and I felt better now that I was holding her.
She's a very good listener.

We snuggled a bit more.  I was trying to sleep and she was telling me about the flower she found on the collar of her pajamas... and then something about her pillow... then something about something else and so on.

She eventually let me sleep a bit.

She eventually asked me if she could go see Papa.

Absolutely!

She and Papa made pancakes again.  Ami poured and flipped them! She also dressed herself today, too.

So big...

We've been talking about describing words like 'big' and 'tiny' as well as, 'next to' and 'behind.'

I know right now I haven't been giving my 100% to her and I feel really guilty.  Since I've recognized it, I've gotten better, and I have been giving her more hugs and kisses. I've also been trying to be more imaginative w her, although my head is in the clouds about entirely different imaginations.

She's so beautiful.

Tammy's Visit.

Ami and I had an early morning walk around the neighborhood and played on the playground.

Then we drove to MD and visited. My Aunt Tammy and her two girls were visiting from BC. The gathering included my grandfather (which was so weird) so it really was like a family reunion. The only ppl missing were Tammy's son and grandson.

There were toasts to Mike (birthday), Mariel (joining lax), Brandon building his house, Alicyn graduating H.S., it being the first family reunion that no one had cried, and the civility of my grandparents being together.

Thursday's Monster is Full of Face.

Ami's helping me fold laundry and decorate my Love Monster templates...

And this is Ami's new jungle gym....

Here is some artwork my I.D.s did today.  We worked on mixing primary colors and only using primary colors. It was lots of fun.  One of the ladies said it was weird only using 3 colors. I said, it gives me a sense of power knowing I can make all kinds of colors using only 3 colors. Do you feel like that too?  She said yes.

Then I met up with Papa and the Monkey.  I brought a Wawa lunch.

That evening, we went out with Craig, Lauren, Alix, Moo, Billy, Gabby, and Larry to Fujiya. I was really excited to see Ami's reaction.

This is the remnants of Ami's umbrella she got with her milk.

Green Tea Ice Cream!!!  Ami devoured it.

Fun Days Are Usually Thursdays

We went out to breakfast this morning after we dropped Mike's car off at the dealership.
Ami sure loves her frog...
And bagels with cream cheese.
She also loves her Papa.

After breakfast we went to Michael's to get a few supplies- Blanks, Sharpie paint markers, a sketch book, water colors and brushes.
After ward, we went to the drive thru Starbucks for lunch coffee. There, we got Ami a cake pop.
I think she OD'd on chocolate.

Junkie...

We got home and started unblanking our Blanks.

Mine is the one in the middle.

After dinner, we went to the Dark Park to play.

I'm wearing the shirt I made from Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich.  I wonder if Adam Rex has made the shirts yet... he hasn't gotten back with me regarding it.

We went home, Ami and I took a bath. We watched some Dora and Word World, brushed teeth and read her book choice.
She chose 10 Little Rubber Ducks tonight to read.
I sang Hush Little Ami and Ladybug Picnic a few times and she was out.
Pretty sweet.
