Ami's Monkey

My friend Stefanie came over for a tasting of pumpkin pie chocolate brownies and Nutella ice cream I made sometime last week. She walked in and immediately said how nice it was that a house full of kids didn't have the t.v. blaring.  Thank you, Stefanie.

It's really hard.

Especially when the 2 1/2 year old is an Ami.

Right before Stefanie came over, Ami created a masterpiece. A really detailed monkey...

As you can see... it's on the wall.

The thing that kills me is that she KNOWS better.
I know this because the first time we read Olivia, Olivia paints on her wall. Ami KNEW Olivia was going to get a time out.

Here is the link to Olivia's adventure...

The monkey is awesome, though.  It's the best yet.

Metro Richmond Zoo w the Family

Thursday morning, I had my art class this morning and had a showing!

Every one was so happy to see their artwork up on the wall. It was pretty awesome and lots of fun.

Then Ami and I headed to the Metro Richmond Zoo to meet up with Aunt Trish, Thomas, and Jolie.

You can't really see it, but there's a banana in Ami's hands.  That creature really wanted her banana... and her face!  Yummm

Ami was really afraid of the giraffes. I fed one and she gave me a big hug and said, "You did it!! Good job, Mumma!"
It was kind of awesome.

We went on a Safari Adventure.  Ami loved the train and kept saying it was jumpy- which sounds like 'dumpy.'  It was pretty awesome.

No!!!! Don't eat that kiddie cup, Mr. Tortoise!!!

He went for it but couldn't get it in his grip.

You can't really tell but this is definitely a momma monkey. Her baby was nursing.  This is when Thomas made the connection that cow utters are just boobies and nipples and what cow milk is.

Thursday's Monster is Full of Face.

Ami's helping me fold laundry and decorate my Love Monster templates...

And this is Ami's new jungle gym....

Here is some artwork my I.D.s did today.  We worked on mixing primary colors and only using primary colors. It was lots of fun.  One of the ladies said it was weird only using 3 colors. I said, it gives me a sense of power knowing I can make all kinds of colors using only 3 colors. Do you feel like that too?  She said yes.

Then I met up with Papa and the Monkey.  I brought a Wawa lunch.

That evening, we went out with Craig, Lauren, Alix, Moo, Billy, Gabby, and Larry to Fujiya. I was really excited to see Ami's reaction.

This is the remnants of Ami's umbrella she got with her milk.

Green Tea Ice Cream!!!  Ami devoured it.
