Mr. Buffalo's Week Long Adventure

It's been a year since Mike has been smoke free.
We're celebrating.

I asked Ami what we can do for Mike today.
We can bring him lunch, get lunch fixins at the store and prepare the veggies and stuff so all he has to do for his lunch is assemble.

We can clean the house for him.

We can iron his shirts.

The kids have been sick all week.
Ami's sickness started early in the week.

Wednesday, Ollie went to the doctor for her check up and she's just perfect.  She got her shots, however, and I guess got a fever from them.  She was having such a hard time.

Right now, the kids are feeling better. Ollie is still having a bit of a hard time,  her fever is down but she's sniffly... Ami is still sniffly, but she's feeling fine.

Which is why before we started our errand adventure, we played outside because it is so freaking gorgeous.

While Ami took her nap, I watched Project Runway All Stars and tidied up the living room.

I am loving the t-shirt Mondo wore this week. It's a regular t-shirt but a full length zipper in sewn front.

I'm surprised I love it so much.

I'm NOT surprised, however, that I love the Gorillaz Andre 3000 song as much as I do.

"Death For The Dead"

I haven't been listening to much music lately...
I really think it's helping me create my own.

Besides the Crypts, I have Monster, the Hot Cocks, and a project w Lilly- all of which I am excited about.

The Crypts are recording in March! We're introducing a new member, Professor Gilliam, as well as some really good songs.

In a few minutes, Mike is going to teach me the Hot Cocks song he wrote. I have some words to it... I really like this song.

And... today was good.  Ami, Ollie, and I played catch and kicked the ball around- the weather was beautiful.

Mike texted me and suggested we do, "Tonight, You Belong To Me" and as cheesy as it is :) I agreed.
So, Ami and I were looking at YouTube videos of the song. We found one video where a guy is teaching the viewer how to play the song. As we were watching it, Ami said, "Where's his nubby? Why doesn't he have a nubby?"

Of course I told her it was because he didn't get his finger hurt and she hasn't talked anymore about it. I'm sure tomorrow, she'll have more questions.

Then we found a Zooey and some other guy video doing that song. Ami and I must have watched it 5 or so times. Every time, she asked me to sing along w Zooey and soon Ami was singing it.

That's a smart cookie.

Another smart cookie is the cookie we made today- the amazing chocolate chip blueberry cookie.  Next time I'm going to use less sugar, and more blueberries than chips, but they are really good. I think I had 5 of them.

Anyway, the kids are sleeping. Mike is working on a drawing and I decided to put on Beetle Juice.  We got started talking about Winona Ryder and then the Beetle Juice cartoon. I looked it up on my phone and realized I was watching both Beetle Juices, feeling like a fool.  The cartoon is still good.

I love this day!

It's Valentine's Day today.

It started off w Ami waking up in pee.
She told me last night that she didn't want to wear a diaper to bed.
I was prepared.

Oh well.  It was a really really big step for her and I am really happy she made it.
I'll be prepared for that tonight and make sure she doesn't drink anything past 7.

Yesterday, to prepare for today, we made Papa a ... thing... w Ami's hand prints in the shape of a heart or two...
We also took pictures and made him some collages.

Ami took these pictures of Ollie and I using the tripod. She enjoyed it and gave us directions on how to act. She is interested in so many things.

Ami came out of her room while I was in the living room. She was holding a Halloween book and she asked me to read it. She said she wanted to have a Halloween party today and we needed to decorate.

Papa made this sign for us.

He actually made it early early Sunday morning after he came home from the Panther Division show.

I'm glad I got to go to the show because it was his first one, I got to see a lot of ppl I knew, and I danced to Gangland, who I really liked.

Mike actually bought their CD.  Dude... they have some long ass songs...

After I put Ami to bed, she screamed continuously for a couple of minutes. She wasn't stopping, so I went into her room.  I asked her why she was crying.  She said, "I was sad you left and went into the living room."

I told her that it was great how thoughtful her sentence was. I appreciated how calmly she said it, however, part of her bedtime routine is that I leave her room and she sleeps by herself. She was really cool about it and laid back down and went to sleep listening to her Joe Scruggs.

The weather has been nutty. We went for a walk Tuesday...

We've been having some tummy time by the window.

I skipped derby to hang out w Billy tonight. He said he was coming over right before I was going to leave.
