"I'm Going To Take A Picture Of It With My Guitar!"
It is Saturday morning. Ami is riding her tricycle around the house in her monkey pjs and Elmo slippers looking to save Dora, Diego, and Boots. This is right after she handed me the Nerf N-Strike asking me if I wanted to see the picture that she took. She pretends the Nerf gun is her guitar/camera. She's neat.
Last week, Craig and Lauren invited us to dinner at their house for pear, walnut, blue cheese pizza- which was bangin.
Before we left for their house, Ami made them a card.
You know, now Ami is wearing a pair of my high heels, clicking across the living room.
I've been reading Olivia to her... Olivia was given to Ollie, but right now, Ami is Olivia the pig.
She wears me out.
At the end of the book, Olivia's mother says, "You know, Olivia, you really wear me out. But I love you, anyway."
I omit the last sentence and add, "And I love you very much." It changes the humor about it (Olivia replies, "And I love you anyway, too").... but I don't care, ha ha.

Ami has been practicing writing. We worked together writing Craig's name on the card. I wrote the C, we both did the R...She did the A and I did the I and she did the G.
Ami's imagination is so much fun to play along and listen to.
I forget everything that was going on here, but I know that little thing in between the frogs is a rocket ship (it's really a puzzle eraser lava lamp).
She's comparing... big, tiny...
We've been going on lots of walks and she's been using the sling I made her to bring her babies or chocolate bunny.
Ollie has seriously been working very hard, practicing holding her head up and standing up.
I put her in the Bumbo for the first time. She concentrated really hard as she very slowly started leaning to one side...

'We Go Together Like Chinese Food And Chocolate Pudding.' Cal
I'm lying bed w my Ollie and my Mike.
Mike got a buffalo tattooed on his belly. I want one there.
Our roku broke so we're watching Talladega Nights. Ah, it's great. I used to dislike Will Ferrell. Now I think he's great.
I've been thinking how amazing my family is. If losing a finger is all I need to do to deserve this family, I'll take it.

"It Not Nap Time!"
My big girl will be home soon.
I didn't get a nap in, however I spend this quiet time on myself, not the house.
I am writing songs, playing guitar, learning an Eddie Vedder song on guitar, daydreaming about food presents for ppl, and drawing this lame, lame brain creation.
I wish I had made it more cakey.
I normally only mesh together songs, for instance, "She's my cherry pie... drove the Chevy to the levy and the levy was dry-y"
As I was looking up pictures of Duff (Goldman) I realized, "HE IS SMILING IN EVERY ONE OF THEM."
That's insane.
I mean, he seems like a happy dude, so I shouldn't really be surprised, but usually cooker-type famous dudes are all, "Grrr" and stuff. I thought he'd have at least one of those, albeit his signature DOES have a heart in it.
As you can see, I'm pretending my Thunderbolt is a fancy iPhone.
Yes, the pictures aren't iPhone quality, but I can pretend.
Ideally I would be using my fancy camera, but I can't carry it around everywhere and I'm pretty sure I'd post less if I had to take the extra physical step of transporting the memory card.
This is why I haven't yet posted pictures from Ami's Pennsylvania birthday party.
Speaking of Ami... she's home.
Crying.
My mom carried a sleeping Ami over her shoulder and into her bedroom. As my mom was re positioning her to lay her on the bed, Ami's eyes opened and said, "It not nap time!"
And boy is she cranky. Here...
This is my sick daughter...
She's been quiet tonight... the past couple of nights, she's been crying and crying...
It gives me a chance to help fulfill my food present daydreams.
I've said in a past post that I'm no good w presentations.
It's a big reason I don't give many presents.
One Christmas, I bought all my coworkers big fancy candles and never gave them out, cuz I thought they were stupid. They stayed in my hatchback melting in the springtime sun.
Another Christmas, I made soap. I used fancy soap glitters, smells, and molds... I never gave them cuz I thought they looked stupid
Oh! and another Christmas, I decorated glass ornaments, but didn't give them out... why? Yep. I thought they were stupid.
I forget that it's the thought ppl appreciate, really.
Anyway, marshmallow pops, vegan chocolate chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate covered pretzels sound promising. We'll see...
These bags look fun and easy for holding treats... Ami can help me decorate and maybe I'll feel better.
I'm hungry all the time now, and I'm kind of waiting for Mike to get home to get something to eat... He's at band practice w Kenny, Greg, and another dude. I wonder how that's going? Well, I hope.
Anyway, I hate going upstairs all the time to eat and refill my water bottle because I always feel like I'm intruding on the Gils, but man I need water and food.
Maybe I'll go up anyway.
Kiddies are sleeping and I need water to grow...

"My Santa Gave It To You?"
Since before Ollie was born, I've been wanting to make pumpkin parfaits. The recipe was in Wegmans October newsletter...
I couldn't find the newsletter, but I decided to wing it.
To sweeten the pumpkin, I used honey that Gabby got from a local beekeeper and cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
I used vanilla Greek strained yogurt (although, I think plain Greek yogurt would have been better) and granola from the granola section (haha).
I have never been one for presentation...
We've been going on walks around the neighborhood since we're still down a car.
I really hope we get it back soon. I am getting cabin fever.
I hate to say this, but in this picture, Ami is reminiscent of Wendy Pepper's daughter. Eep.
I tried to get a picture of her on the nets but I can't find one that isn't washed out :(
Guru living room picnics are fun. Thank you, Larry.
Living room arts and crafts are fun.
Larry made pumpkin mac n cheese. I want more all the time. It's delicious and lighter than regular mac n cheese. I wonder if a derby girl has the name Smackin Cheese...
Ami said, "I am a cat! Meow, meow."
I told her that I got that blanket from Santa one Christmas.
She said, "My Santa gave it to you?"
